Poetry Writing

While in and out of vogue (and a shapeshifter) through the centuries, poetry remains important to humanity. So what is poetry? It forcefully defies singular definition, and forms and styles of what finds publishing success continue to change. Plenty of people write poetry only for themselves and for sharing with their family and friends. And that too is a valid pursuit.

In our six-week poetry workshop, we’ll talk about our individual definitions of poetry, study a few useful poetic and literary devices to sharpen and elevate our writing and submit at least one poem to the group via Scribophile.com for constructive feedback. We’ll make plenty of time for brainstorming new inspirations, free writing from prompts and/or writing/revision of our works in progress (W.I.P.s)
